Here are the steps to install RML for Dropbox plugin:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the free Remote Media Libraries (RML) plugin.
- If not installed, go to Plugins > Add New > Search for Remote Media Libraries and click install
- If already installed, make sure it is up to date by going to Plugins > Click update now for Remote Media Libraries
- Make sure to download RML for Dropbox plugin on your computer after the purchase.
- Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and upload the file.
- Add your purchased license key (you received from the email receipt) in Settings > Media.
- Create a new remote media library in Media > Remote Media Libraries > Add New and select Dropbox for the remote service.
- Enter a name for your Remote Library in the title field. This name will be used in the media library menu.
- Enter your Dropbox App Key and Secret in the appropriate fields. To get an App key and Secret, you can create a Dropbox App if you have not created one already.
- Save draft at this point.
- Now, click validate. An authentication popup should open. Important Note: make sure to disable any popup blocker at this point, because the process opens a popup to redirect you to Dropbox for authentication.
- In the authentication popup, login to your Dropbox if you have not already and click Allow. A green checkbox will appear next to the previous validate button, if the authorization is successful.
- Now, publish your Dropbox remote library and you will have access to your Dropbox inside the Media Library when editing a post or a page.
